CSA databases are experiencing problems downloading PDFs within the new Internet Explorer 7 and the associated Adobe plugin. Users have been receiving a dialog box including the text "Internet Explorer could not download this file" and a truncated URL when attempting to download PDFs within CSA databases. We have contacted CSA and they have given us a work around for this problem. From CSA: After investigating this problem, there appears to be a workaround method which will alleviate the IE7/Adobe Acrobat error. Please ensure that you have the latest version of Adobe Reader (7.0.8) installed and the preferences section has the option "Display PDF in Browser" checked off. For more details please see the instructions below: -Open Adobe Reader -Select "Edit" from the tool bar -Select "Preferences" from the drop down box -Select "Internet" as the category -check "Display PDF in browser" (all boxes in the Web Browser Options should be marked) At this point, AdobeReader will prompt you to restart your computer so that your new configurations will take effect.
