Release 1577 responds to an error report we filed with Base Payroll
quite recently on Santa Cruz's behalf. In testing of leave accrual table
(LAT) updates, we discovered an inadvertent glitch that crept into the
LAT transaction edit program, PPCTLATE, that was written as part of
the phase-out of the old vsam control tables.

Entries in the LAT designate the appropriate leave rate tables for
different populations of employees, for instance, unrepresented
personnel program code 2, or academics, or covered members of
the TX collective bargaining unit. Two flavors of rate tables are supported:
factored (stored in the LRT DB2 table) and hourly (stored in the LRR DB2
table).

The problem edit requires that rate table number referred to in LAT
transactions actually exists. That makes sense, but it was checking
only the LRT table, making it impossible to add an entry to the leave
accrual table that points to hourly-based rates. R1577 modifies
program PPCTLATE to also check for the existence of the table
number in the LRR table.

There are no table updates.

Ok to install?
