ABC-CLIO has notified CDL of impending access (URL) changes to their
databases America: History and Life and Historical Abstracts. In order to
implement these URL changes, the ABC-CLIO databases mentioned above will be
unavailable on Thursday, August 1, 2002 from 12 noon - 4 PM, PDT.

CDL has already made the required changes to our interfaces in preparation
for ABC-CLIO's new URLs. However, campus proxy administrators and campus
web site administrators should be aware of the impending access changes in
case these databases have been linked from any campus web sites. The
complete details of the URL changes have been sent to the Users Council
representative for each campus.  Please contact the Users Council
representative at your campus if you need the complete details of the URL
changes.
