The next
ProQuest(R) platform enhancement release will be on April 28, 2007. A twelve
(12) hour maintenance window will take place to install these exciting new
enhancements. The window will begin Saturday,
April 28, 2007, at 7:00 PM PDT to Sunday, April 29, 2007 at 7:00 AM PDT.
Enhancements
include:
-- ProQuest(R)
Smart Search enhancements - We are replacing the current "Suggested
Publications" link box with one that displays any publication whose title
exactly matches the user's search query. Also, more "Suggested
Topics" will be displayed on the search results page.

Citation/Abstract display - We are moving the placement of available document
formats to the right side of the abstract page making it easier for users to
quickly identify other display formats available.
-- Three (3) new
interface languages - Hungarian, Thai and Indonesian interfaces will be
available, bringing to a total of 17 interface
languages for
ProQuest! Article translation now supports additional languages - Users
will now be able to translate articles from Spanish, Portuguese, French and German
into English.
The following products will be unavailable during this window:
-- ProQuest
interface products, ProQuest Historical Newspapers (traditional and graphical
K12 interface), American Periodicals Series
-- "Digital
Vault" products, including the Early English Books Online, ProQuest
Dissertations & Theses, and Digital Sanborn Maps
-- Chadwyck Healey
products - including the Gerritsen Collection, Policy File, and DNSA
