Due to scheduled system maintenance, the production version of the Melvyl Catalog will be unavailable from 9:00 PM on Friday, December 19 through 3:00 AM on Sunday, December 21, 2008. 

 

To minimize user inconvenience, UC-eLinks, Request services (available via UC-eLinks), and checks for circulation status will be conducted in a backup copy of the Melvyl Catalog; this copy is current as of October 1, 2008.  This means that records loaded into the production version of the Melvyl Catalog after Oct. 1st will not be reflected in the copy version being used during the maintenance. 

 

Additionally, during the maintenance period, users will not be able to use the Request (Interlibrary Loan) services directly from the backup copy, nor will Update, Profile, and My Workspace services be available.  During the maintenance, Request will only be available from the UC-eLinks menu window.  On-screen banners and an informational message remind users that these services are currently unavailable.

 

Alternately, the Melvyl@University of California catalog (http://melvyl.worldcat.org) is available and is current with record loading.  In the Melvyl@University of California catalog, Request services are available via UC-eLinks.
