Thanks to Deborah Kegel, UCSD Library, for mentioning a temporary workaround (details below) until NLM fixes the problem and the UC-eLinks button displays correctly again.

People can plug in the PMID number into this link maker for UC-eLinks in the interim. For example, if I need the article with PMID 27890093 then I put that at the end of this string
http://ucelinks.cdlib.org:8888/sfx_local?sid=Entrez:PubMed&id=pmid:<number>
so it looks like this:
http://ucelinks.cdlib.org:8888/sfx_local?sid=Entrez:PubMed&id=pmid:27890093

Subject: CDLALERT: PubMed search results currently do not include UC-eLinks button
Importance: High
Normally, the UC campuses use a special URL for
PubMed which automatically displays the UC-eLinks button in the search results records to easily link to the online article (if applicable), to check the print journal holdings on a campus, or to request the article via Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services.
At the present time, the UC-eLinks button is not displaying in the PubMed search results records. CDL has notified PubMed customer support about this problem but they currently do not have an estimation of when the problem will be resolved.
Please share this information with your colleagues.
