With the New Year, we are welcoming a new member, as well as new and renewing participants on our governance groups. While not reflected below, WEST has also begun planning for its next program assessment, which is overseen by the Executive Committee and Operations and Collections Council (OCC). The OCC kicked assessment planning off with a half-day meeting during ALA Midwinter, hosted by our colleagues at the University of Washington. More to come on assessment soon! Ø WEST members met during ALA Midwinter in Seattle. 2019 WEST Executive Committee chair, Michael Levine-Clark, updated attendees on WEST's priorities for 2019; WEST's new program manager, Alison Wohlers, provided program updates; and a panel of Archive Builder representatives opened a window into the world of archive creation and the Call for Holdings. For the first time, WEST supported remote participation for the meeting, which, with a few small tweaks, will continue to be the case for future WEST member meetings.
