WEST has had a busy end to the summer, rolling out enhancements and updates to AGUA, kicking off archiving Cycles 10 & 11, finishing the archived titles reports for Cycle 8, and working with the Rosemont Shared Print Alliance on a variety of activities. Read on for more details about what we've been up to, and what's on the horizon.

Please follow the links below to check out the full posts on the WESTinfo blog.
Ø WEST Cycles 10 & 11 Call for Unarchived Holdings & Webinar: In the beginning of September, the WEST Project Team sent out a call for unarchived holdings data from WEST Full Members, which will inform the next round of collection analysis (cycles 10 & 11) that will determine what to archive next. On September 12th the WEST Project Team hosted a webinar to provide an overview of the reasons for why WEST requests unarchived holdings, a review of the overall collection analysis and archiving project cycle, and to introduce new user interfaces for uploading holdings files and reviewing holdings locations to identify those that should be excluded from analysis and/or proposal. A recording of the webinar is available on Vimeo<https://vimeo.com/359668291>, and the slides are available on the WEST website<https://cdlib.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/WEST_WebinarSeries_UnarchivedHoldingsRequest_9.2019.pptx>. Read on<https://cdlib.org/cdlinfo/2019/09/16/west-cycles-10-11-call-for-unarchived-holdings-webinar/> for more information about the call for unarchived holdings.
Ø Archived titles reports for Cycle 8 now available!: The Western Regional Storage Trust (WEST) is pleased to announce that the eighth archiving cycle disclosure process is complete. Cycle 8 (2019) annual collection comparison reports are now available for WEST's full members to download in AGUA. Both full and supporting members have access, at any time, to the All Archived Titles Report and On Demand Collection Comparison report in AGUA. Additionally, the WEST Collections Analyst has put together a set of visualizations reporting on WEST's archived collections, available on this WEST Tableau dashboard<https://public.tableau.com/profile/anna.striker4914#!/vizhome/shared/ZKPGRBRH8>. Read on<https://cdlib.org/cdlinfo/2019/09/19/archived-titles-reports-for-cycle-8-now-available/> for more information about collection comparison reports and the on demand comparison tool available in AGUA.
Ø Rosemont Shared Print Alliance update: WEST is a founding member of the Rosemont Shared Print Alliance, and has been heavily involved in its development and ongoing discussions about what shared print functions at a national scale. The Rosemont governance groups have been working on a number of projects, including investigating options for a shared decision support service, developing guidelines for handling last or scarce copies, and defining how collection growth will be measured. Read on<https://cdlib.org/cdlinfo/2019/09/30/rosemont-shared-print-alliance-update/> for more information about Rosemont and WEST's role in this national collaboration between shared print programs.
Ø Save the date! WEST member meeting at ALAMW: The WEST Member Meeting for ALA Midwinter 2020 in Philadelphia, PA, is scheduled for Sunday, January 26 from 1-2:30pm EST. This open session will include a program update, and will be of interest to anyone who wants to know more about WEST and shared print. More information and location details to come!

All the best,

The WEST Project Team
