WEST has had a very busy summer! We have welcomed four new members to the trust network (as well as a new consortial membership) while also working on in-depth strategic planning for the Future of WEST. Through all of this, we have been making steady progress updating the AGUA decision support tool to improve navigation and discovery of WEST-generated reports and to enhance existing collection comparison tools to provide more flexibility for members in their local projects.

• WEST welcomes new members! WEST is excited to welcome four new member libraries and one new consortial member to the trust network as of July 2023: the Graduate Theological Union (joining through the SCELC consortial membership), University of Colorado at Boulder and Colorado Mesa University (both joining through the new Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries consortial membership), and Southern Methodist University (joining as an individual member). • WEST Summer 2023 Extended Member Meeting: On July 27, WEST hosted an extended member meeting to provide in-depth updates on the strategic planning work the Executive Committee and Operations and Collections Council have been engaged in since fall 2022. Attendees received an overview of what has happened so far and the six areas that are under investigation for potential change and participated in breakout rooms for further discussion about three areas where WEST is recommending near-term changes. The meeting closed with a lengthy panel discussion on current and future opportunities for expanding the national preservation network. • WEST Deselection Resources: Before the Summer 2023 member meeting, WEST hosted a workshop to introduce several deselection resources that members have access to, including collection comparison reports and tools developed by WEST and other resources developed by partners in the shared print community. • New Layout for AGUA Dashboard: The AGUA Development Team has recently updated the layout of the Collections Reports and Downloads section of the AGUA Dashboard to improve navigation for users, and has created a new page that gathers together the newest reports WEST has generated for members. • Cycle 12 (2023) Collection Comparison Reports Now Available: WEST is pleased to announce that the twelfth archiving cycle disclosure process is complete, and the Cycle 12 (2023) annual collection comparison reports are now available for WEST members to download in AGUA.
