• Opportunity for WEST members to share development ideas and needs

Every other year, WEST works on identifying and building out enhancements to the AGUA collections analysis and decision support tool. WEST is in the planning stages for the next AGUA development phase and is seeking input from WEST members for functionalities or enhancements that will support and facilitate your work. Please share your ideas in this Google Form: https://forms.gle/2hwYTyuy6dmEUAHu9. The form will stay open through May 3. Read on for more details.

• Call for Cycle 13 WEST Archiving Disclosures 

The WEST project team recently sent out a call via email for WEST Archive Holders and Builders to submit records of all materials archived for WEST to CDL via the file upload tool in AGUA. WEST asks that members include records for all materials archived for WEST in Cycle 13 and in earlier cycles to capture any cataloging updates or changes to your local records. WEST asks that Archive Holders and Builders submit these records to AGUA by May 31, 2024. Read on for more details on how to submit your archiving disclosures.

• The WEST Executive Committee Establishes a Steering Committee & Updates Composition and Eligibility Requirements

In February 2024, the WEST Executive Committee approved a proposal to shift from a committee leadership structure of Subcommittees to a Steering Committee. The Executive Committee also approved updates to the committee’s composition and eligibility requirements. Read on for the details and reasoning behind these decisions.
