Hi all,
Miranda sent this invitation for the OAPEN/DOAB meeting. Please feel free to sign up if you are interested.
I think having a informational session about OAPEN and DOAB would be something most of would welcome. But this is also of great interest to collections folks, so I'll ask Miranda to arrange a session that is open to everyone in UC libraries.
Best
Michael

Hi Timothy & Michael-
When I sent this invitation to members of the Shared Content Leadership Group, it was suggested that Schol Comm CKG members might be interested as well, so I’m contacting you in your capacity as co-chairs (and hoping my information is current!). Please feel free to forward this message to others in the CKG.
In 2021 CDL entered into an agreement with the OAPEN Foundation, and through this agreement, all UC libraries are supporting members of OAPEN through June 30, 2024. A privilege of this membership is an invitation to participate in the joint annual meeting of OAPEN and the DOAB (Directory of Open Access Books) Foundation.
The meeting will be held virtually on Thursday, December 8, 9:00-10:30 am PT, and you are all welcome to attend (and/or invite colleagues from your libraries).
I met with OAPEN director Niels Stern at the Charleston Conference, and he would be happy to provide us with an informational session about OAPEN and DOAB, so please let me know if you or others in your libraries might be interested.
Thanks,
Miranda
