You may have read recently about the change in policy to extend the
START (Staff and Academic Reduction in Time) program beyond the
originally planned end date at the end of this month to June 30, 2006.
R1648 makes the necessary modifications to PPS to support that extension.

The changes are minor:

- the START program end date in copymember CPWSTART is updated
- the text of two messages (08-438 and 12-438) which includes the
   end date is updated

That's all there is... no program changes at all.

I understand that some sites are anxious to update their EDBs with
the new end date, so we're giving r1648 a little extra priority.
