Release 1554 provides an enhancement to selection of online time rosters
and check lists. <Santa Cruz and ASUCLA aren't currently using online
rosters, so this will have no effect on them, but the release must still be
installed.>
Currently on the IDTC screen, users must enter the pay period end date
and cycle identifier of the compute for which they wish to display a roster
or check list, along with selection criteria such as home department code
or components of the local FAU.
The r1554 modifications make the IDTC screen easier to use by presenting
a list of the currently defined cycles, up to a maximum of 7, in descending
last enter date order, from which the user can select the desired one
instead of explicitly entering a date and cycle. I expect this to be very
popular with departmental users. As always, users should pay attention
to whether cycles have been closed, but that will be obvious from the
new display because it includes, and is sequenced by, last day to enter
time. Old/closed cycles will appear at the bottom.
If you'd like to see images of old vs. new IDTC screens, go to the
release web site and look at the Test Plan document.
The only table updates are some messages relating to selection of
cycles on the IDTC screen.
Ok to install after we have completed our testing?
