Hi Christy et al. Last year at UCSF, postdocs went through a 6-part "Responsible Conduct of Research Training" (http://postdocs.ucsf.edu/rcr). Some of what they covered may be of interest to your scholarly communication course for grad students.

All sessions were taught by faculty or scientists. The Data Management, Sharing and Ownership was co-taught by Carly Strasser and Megan Laurance from the Library. I attended the Responsible Authorship, Publication, and Peer Review session and it was really interesting. A lot of that session was on ethics in publishing, like determining authorship and when someone needs to be listed as an author.

Full syllabus: http://postdocs.ucsf.edu/sites/postdocs.ucsf.edu/files/wysiwyg/RCR_PS_2014%20Syllabus.pdf

Best,

Anneliese
