We’ve completed work on migrating the Merritt infrastructure to virtual machines. As a last step, we have made some DNS changes that may take 24 hours to fully propagate. You might see an error when you go to https://merritt.cdlib.org if your local DNS data hasn’t refreshed. You can force a refresh by following these commands:

For Windows, issue the command: “ipconfig /flushdns” in a DOS command shell or from the “Run” option on the Start menu.

For Mac OS X 10.4 or earlier: “lookupd –flushcache”

For Mac OS X 10.5 or newer: “dscacheutil -flushcache”

We’ve tested everything—ingest, inventory, downloading—but let us know if you encounter any problems or errors.

Thanks for your patience on this migration. It will mean a more stable system. Please contact us with any questions or comments. Thanks again,

Perry
