My name is Ant=F3nio Vieira and I am the founder of Cogitatio, a publisher
established in 2014 with the aim of promoting open-access divulgation of
scientific knowledge. Cogitatio issues three open access journals in the
field of social sciences:

all manuscripts undergo a meticulous and stringent peer review process
to guarantee that only the best articles are selected for publication.
I would like to inquire whether the University of California at Irvine
would be interested in joining our institutional membership program and
allow affiliated authors to freely publish in our open access journals
and disseminate their articles to a broader readership.
Cogitatio offers two different types of Institutional Membership:
1 - Monthly Membership: The institution pays a flat rate of =8080/month
[about US$107] which covers the article processing fees of all
manuscripts accepted for this journal with one or more authors belonging
to the member institution.
2 - Postpaid Membership: The institution is not charged any fixed
charge, and only pays article processing fees for articles accepted for
publication with one or more authors belonging to the member
institution. The institution receives an automatic discount of 20% for
each accepted manuscript, paying a reduced fee of =80280 [about US$376].
Institutions may establish a cap for the maximum number of manuscripts
to be considered under this Postpaid Membership agreement.
I would also like to inform you that Cogitatio is a SHERPA/ROMEO Green
Publisher, and as such authors can freely archive pre-print, post-print
and the published version of their article in your institutional
repository with no payment or embargo period.

The OA Policy Implementation team at the CDL has worked with campus
partners over the past year to develop a collection of outreach and
educational materials intended to help spread the word about the UC Open
Access Policy.
These materials are primarily focused on:

to participate in the policy
