Merritt will be unavailable on Sunday Dec 6 from 1pm-10pm (PT) while we migrate our database from the UCOP Data Center to Amazon RDS.

In addition to testing for the accuracy of the data migration, we will also test failover, and also change the configuration to utfmb4 to accommodate a larger character set. We’re going to put up a maintenance page and pause ingest. It would be better to suspend any automated submission scripts during this time. Anything submitted to Merritt during the maintenance will go to the ingest queue and ingested after the maintenance is completed—but we don’t want the queue to become too large.
