Today (May 21, 2018), a new security feature was made available in Request (UC’s interlibrary loan [ILL] and document delivery service).
The feature prevents the user from entering an email address other than a UC campus email address
OR any email address included in the patron’s account.
Beginning today if a campus patron enters a non-UC email address into a Request and the email address is
not currently included in the associated patron account, the message below displays:
Please provide a valid email address. Only University of California email addresses, or addresses registered in your library account, are valid.
Campus patrons who regularly use non-UC email addresses when placing Requests will need to update their patron accounts accordingly.
Please share this information with your colleagues.
