[https://www.cdlib.org/cdlinfo/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/uc_eLinks.jpg]On the morning of Tuesday, February 19, 2019, Ex Libris will install "SSL" on the CDL SFX server, meaning that all UC-eLinks traffic will be redirected from 'http://ucelinks.cdlib.org' to 'https://ucelinks.cdlib.org'. If you encounter any unexpected problems with outbound linking behavior or the UC-eLinks button display in CDL-managed resources, please notify CDL. You can use the Report a problem with UC-eLinks link on the UC-eLinks menu or by sending email to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. For campuses using SFX for outbound linking Outbound linking configured in databases will also be redirected. It is possible that there may be issues with the display of the UC-eLinks graphic in the resource interfaces as a result of the redirect. Campuses may need to update their locally licensed resources' configuration settings after 2/19. Please see https://www.cdlib.org/services/collections/branding.html for the updated configuration information after 2/19. For campuses using direct linking in cataloging records and other access points Cataloging and direct linking: For campuses using UC-eLinks OpenURL syntax in their cataloging records, any records that have 'openurl.cdlib.org' should NOT be changed - those should stay as 'http://openurl.cdlib.org'. If there are any records with 'http://ucelinks.cdlib.org', those could be changed to 'http://openurl.cdlib.org' at your convenience. For campuses using Alma and Primo Ex Libris is taking care of any changes needed for campus integrations involving Alma. If you encounter any other problems with UC-eLinks or UC-eLinks integration, please contact CDL by using the Report a problem with UC-eLinks link on the UC-eLinks menu or by sending email to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. ____________________ Please share this information with your colleagues.
