With summer, WEST wraps up its tenth archiving cycle and starts work on its eleventh! Over the next few months WEST will be distributing collection comparison reports and rolling out new enhancements to the AGUA decision support tool, and
will begin preparing for the next collections analysis. At the end of July, WEST will hold its semiannual members meeting to provide key program updates; additionally, Roger Schonfeld of Ithaka S+R will present on the power of library collaborations. Read

WEST Members Meeting Summer 2021: WEST will hold its 2021 summer members’ meeting virtually on Thursday July 29, 2021, from 12:30-2pm PT. The meeting will feature
a presentation from Roger Schonfeld (Program Director, Libraries, Scholarly Communication, and Museums at Ithaka S+R), “Lessons from Library Collaborations,” including an overview of some key lessons and ample time for discussion. Advance registration is required
to join the meeting; the meeting will be recorded for any members not able to attend. Live captioning will be available via Zoom’s automated transcription feature.

Updated WEST Disclosure Policy Now Available: The WEST Disclosure & Validation Standards Working Group has completed its revision of the WEST Disclosure Policy,
and the recommended updates have been reviewed and endorsed by the WEST Operations and Collections Council (OCC) and WEST Executive Committee. The updated policy is
now available on the WEST website.

New Publication: Enhancing Print Journal Analysis for Shared Print Collections: The AGUA technical team has recently published an article in the Code4Lib Journal
describing a major development project the team executed during the fourth WEST Development Phase (Phase 4, ending in 2019) to improve AGUA’s ability to match serial records, improving the WEST collections analysis.

CDL, CRL & HathiTrust Collaboration: The CDL, CRL, & HathiTrust Shared Print Collaboration (CCH Collab) continues to act on its guiding principles of transparency, inclusion and responsiveness, focusing their 2021 activities
on increasing community engagement and improving technology solutions supporting shared print. The Collab has provided a brief written update for the Print Archive Network (PAN) on their 2021 activities and next steps for moving the conversation forward.

WEST Working Groups Update: In the 2019 Strategic Planning Session the WEST governance groups issued several recommendations to form working groups to review various
aspects of the WEST program. Four working groups were formed and have been working on executing their charges over the last year.
