⮚       WEST Welcomes New Member Cal State LA: California State University, Los Angeles, became WEST’s newest member effective July 1, bringing a strong commitment to responsible stewardship and thoughtful management of their print collections. ⮚       WEST RapidILL pod: WEST has partnered with RapidILL to launch a new pod for WEST members to help connect users to archived materials. WEST members who are current Rapid customers have been automatically enrolled in the new pod, and WEST members that join Rapid in the future will also be enrolled. ⮚       Updated WEST policies: In 2020 the WEST governance committees charged two working groups to review and, as necessary, revise key WEST policies. The groups have completed their work updating the WEST Access Policy, WEST Disclosure Policy, and WEST Validation Standards. ⮚       REMINDER: WEST Summer Member Meeting: WEST will be holding its summer member meeting virtually on Tuesday July 19 from 1-2:30pm PT. The Project Team will provide brief program updates and is working to secure a keynote speaker to present on a topic of broad interest to members. ⮚       Yearly WEST Contacts Review: WEST is conducting an annual review of contacts, and ass all Primary Contacts confirm or, if necessary, update their contacts for various WEST and AGUA activities. This ensures that WEST is sending communications to the appropriate staff at each member institution, and that no members are inadvertently left out of any activities due to outdated records at WEST. ⮚       Shared Print Publications and Resources:

o       New Shared Print Toolkit – Resources for Programs and Member Institutions: Rosemont and the Partnership recently launched a new Shared Print Toolkit that brings together resources from a variety of shared print programs across the US. o       Shared Collections Bibliography: The Shared Collections Interest Group, part of the American Library Association’s Reference & User Services Association (RUSA) division, has released an informal bibliography covering introductory literature and resources related to shared print as well as recently published resources. o       ACRL Top Trends – shared print and collective collection: The 2021–22 ACRL Research Planning and Review Committee recently released its top trends in academic libraries, which includes collaborative collections and the rapidly expanding shared print community.
