Hello copyright experts. A UCSF author who worked as a PI on a state-funded project would like to re-use quotes from study participants that were included in practice papers based on the project. The authors are preparing a journal article based on the research project, and would like to include some of the quotes. What are the norms and limitations with reusing quotes for this purpose?

Thanks in advance,
Anneliese
