Commercial publishers have taken so many bites of the apple there is
nothing left.

We've heard about at least one university press who is now reaching back
out to previously-published book authors and seeing if they want to make
their decade-old book open access (for a significant fee).

I know this has been discussed before, but it would be much preferred if
authors could build in a reversion clause to get the rights back to their
articles/books, so they can then do what they want with their works after
some initial period of exclusivity with the publisher.
