Hi Katie,

I’m planning to launch monthly Open Access presentations/talks that should inform our community about the various forms of support for OA publishing (UC OA agreements, local OA fund). We haven’t set a date for the first one yet, but it should be either during OA week or the week after.

Probably not for the blog post - but Anneliese and I are organizing a webinar on the ESAC Initiative<https://esac-initiative.org/about/about-esac/> for Oct 29. We will have a speaker from the Max Planck Digital Library who will talk about the Registry and other tools they have made available. We do this as members of the OA2020 U.S. Working Group/Community of Practice for audiences in the U.S. and Canada. So, it is not a UCSF or UCD campus activity, but I thought I might mention it. We’ll share the registration link in case someone from our group wants to attend.

Best

Michael

Subject: [SCCKG] OA Week blog post?

CAUTION: EXTERNAL EMAIL

Hi all,

I was out sick for the last CKG meeting, and now I look up and it's October!

I'm not seeing much in the minutes in the way of OA Week (and oa-week-adjacent) activities. Should I put together a post for OSC this year?

I'm happy to write it, if you all just send me links to the events/activities/etc. you'd like me to highlight by EOB next Friday, 10/14.

Best,

Katie
